The Towns Park Design Project - Episode 2

As promised we are back and proud to showcase workshop #2 of The Towns. We were lucky enough to have Rohit Communities bus the kids to their show home to host this workshop. Think about that, would you welcome 30 kids into your home all at once? Rohit even provided snacks and juice boxes … I am sure every single parent can understand the visual of overflowing juice boxes.

The kids huddled in their groups in different areas of the showhome and got back to work on their park designs. This workshop was focused on fine-tuning their designs and starting to dig into the details for the park. Playgrounds-R-Us will be the supplier for the playground structure, they were gracious enough to load the kids up with all sorts of brochures and visuals of different playground equipment. Once again, the students blew us away with their creative mind juice and continued to push our Landscape Architects to go beyond what their regulations allow for. 

Along with this video we are proud to be able to showcase the concept plan of The Towns park space. 

This initial plan is based on the engagement from both of the student workshops. We are not sure what the next steps will be with student engagement as we navigate through these current times, but we still hope to be able to connect with the kids as the park progresses. The project is still on track for construction to begin in  Spring 2021, which means hopefully the park can be open by next fall.
